Job Title: Part-Time Painting Subcontractor/Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Painting Subcontractor/Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves assisting with residential and commercial painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:
-
Assist in preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.

Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other fillers.

Painting:
-
Apply paint, varnish, stains, enamels, or lacquers to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.

Maintenance of Tools and Equipment:

Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
-
Ensure all materials are stored properly and safely disposed of.

Have your own basic painting tools (paint brushes, 5 in 1, drill, etc)

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols to create a safe work environment.

Customer Interaction:
-
Communicate with clients in a professional manner to understand their needs and expectations.

Forward any questions or concerns clients may have during and after the project to project manager.

Project Assistance:
-
Support lead painters as needed and take direction well.
-
Help set up and break down job sites, including moving furniture and covering surfaces.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished surfaces for quality and touch-up any imperfections.

Ensure all work meets company standards and client specifications.

Qualifications:
-
Previous painting experience is preferred.

Basic knowledge of painting techniques and materials.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina and the ability to work on ladders or scaffolding.

Some carpentry experience helpful

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
-
Flexible part-time hours, with potential for permanent work upon observatory period. (3 month minimum)

Primarily indoor work, but may include some outdoor projects depending on the season.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require physical exertion.
